Family Background
I am from a typical southern middle class family with high ambitions. Driven by values and system. From a family of civil engineers and i am the one odd man out into Communication and computing technologies.
Work Life Balance
Still a dream to achieve or an act to learn..
Most Important Career Decisions
selected communication and computing technologies as my forte forever, after spending few years with electronics and process automation industry. Developed an interest and dedication towards VOIP-SIP technology and believed it to be the future of communication including mobile and wireless
Role Model
Many and it is unfair to list only few of them. Anyway Dr. Michio Kaku, Tim Berners Lee, Ramanujan, Da vinci, Joseph Fourier, Bell, Nicholas Copernicus, Albert Einstein, Nicholas Tesla, Pingala, Hedy Lamarr, XEROX-PARC, AMUL INDIA, Professor Vaidyanathan, and GHANDI.
Required Reading
http://jcp.org - where we learned and worked everything including most of the JSRs for a long time.
Current Job Profile
Currently i am building my tech start up to build products like (LTE/IMS) NGN CLOUD - L3 QoS, NGN CLOUD Services/devices GATEWAY and NGN CLOUD SDP for VAS. I have been invited to become a research collaborator with a major European telecom research Institute. consulting System and software architect
Plans for the Future
Spearheading a product company with at least 5-10 TELCO customers and Eco system partnership with one or two major TELECOM OEM with two million user base. An inventor of the spectrum efficiency management algorithm, which doubles the spectrum usage and clocking few hundred million USD business
Comparison With Other Language
More than the programming aspect of Java with its OOD concept, its the JSRs and FRAMEWORKS which makes Java as a distinctive technology altogether. These FW are instrumental in the evolution of the design and development of some very complex enterprise arch/solutions. FW help hides complex MW issue
Challenges in The Technology
Rapid advancement in multiple FW, some times duplication of one another even in a small part is a challenge for developers to keep follow. Advancement like garbage collection is also a disadvantage when applying for a mission critical system solution. Basic programming aspect has not evolved further
Current Role
Research, consulting, product design, architecture, engineering and development from the technology part. Fund raising, collaboration, business development with customers and eco system partners are from the business part. working on attracting seed funding, besides some consulting work with clients
Areas for the Future
The message response, queuing and sequencing paradigm of Java should move towards a perfect deterministic structure with floating types. still more closer and native integration with XML and REST structures are needed. Time triggered capability how ever complex with this FW should be the next target
Changes in the industry
A lot. from a simple Core java programing with a JDK, it has evolved into a platform, CDC, CLDC, Wireless kit, J2EE, EJB, FWs Spring, Hybernate, JSRs in a span of 12 years. the GUI capability on par with others, swing for the thick client, now it has everything to offer for a E2E enterprise system
Most Important Lessons
Focus and excel. Never compromise on quality. be sincere, honest and open. It is always a team work and super symmetry in every aspect of life, so as in our professional life, inside the team or inside the organization or everywhere. Symmetry throws the visible imbalance as a illusion on micro level
Technology Trends
JSR with the focus on evolving industry and domain need is a remarkable progress. The Frameworks and GUI challenges of the evolving enterprise and large user experience part is progressing well. Focused evolution on CLOUD architecture and solution need some more adequate focus. Agile is the way
Degrees That Matter
I was certified as a java programmer a decade and a half ago. Certifications and a through practical experience will make one excel in java. Participation and contribution to the JCP or other open source will give comprehensive experience and exposure to one. certification in lieu of academic syllabi
