My strongest Skill
My professional skills would be my ability to learn new technologies fast and apply the knowledge in my job role. To add to this I have a very competent business language communication skills which my job role demands
Being different
I am more exposed to problem solving in my day to day life than other professions that's how I differentiate myself as an engineer
Goals and Ambitions
I am working in a revenue generating team of SAP and I would look forward to play a significant role in business development as well in coming years. The task at my hand is challenging as we have to bring in more revenue from our services without compromising on our quality and customer satisfaction. To achieve all this I have a plan to study marketing and finance management as a part time course. Our geographic presence is limited to few countries of Americas, EMEA and APA regions. In coming years we would be expanding in other geographies too and I would like to develop myself to lead a team in any such upcoming geographies in next 5 years
Making job easier
Streamlined process and open door policy in my company. Ideas are more important than designations and positions. Open opportunity for all to learn and grow.
Current Trends
Acces to enterprise solutions via mobility applications, availability of enterprise data in cloud and revolutionary in memory technology that will change hardware software integration in future.
My advice
Be open to learning new technologies as they are something which are fast changing. Apply business perspective to what you are doing. Customer satisfaction is the only mantra to achieve the teams targets so that should not be compromised
Company and job profile
I am Saurav Chetry and I belong to Assam. I hold an engineering degree from Pune University. I got campus recruited into Infosys to start with and have close to 5 years of experience in IT industry. Currently I am working as a Senior Consultant in SAP and I am responsible for validating third party products which extend SAP's solution.
Views about 'Tech product Introduction is weak among Indians'
I blame it on our education system as it is more bookish and less practical leaving lesser chance to innovate. Innovation is where we lack in India. However I have seen the scenario changing slowly but we have a long way to go.
