Important lesson learned
As I mellow with age many realizations cross our mind. These realizations with time gets imbeded in your conscience as the lessons life teaches you. I have always believed that our life is based on our decisions. We take decisions at every second of our life, isn't it ? and all decisons we take circle up to make whatever state we are in . Our decisions creates the environment we are in, chooses the people with whom we interact, and ultimately curves out our life's path. So the foundation on which we take decisions is always important. To me this foundation is always about finding a answer to a simple question - will the decision make our future generation's life better or worse!
Influenced by
I guess the ideology of Gandhi influence me the most. I am still intrigued by his philosophy of non-violence and his vision for India. I guess India needs a leader like Gandhi who will cut across the diversity to put India in the path of glory which its potential demands.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Eductaion system is the foundation of India's democracy. The state of the democracy is because of the state of the eductaion system which is present right now. The quality of the education imparted can be debated but that is not a major concern, the basic issue is inclusion of the entire population in this system. Lot of work needs to be done to address this issue of inclusion. Its not only a social issue but also economic and political. Regressive politics of ignoring budget allocation to non voting section of population is plaguing our education system the most. Most important part of eductaion system is the primary education. We need to allocate budget to build educational infrastructure, recruit teachers and provide easy accessbility of eductaion to all. This cannot be done through private investment. Private investment will always be in the sector which promises profitability. So the investement has to be from government which should diversify it to the non profitable rural sector.
Ensuring success
The only mantra which motivates me is to keep life as simple as possible. I give a high preference to emotional satisfaction rather than material enrichment. I ensure I invest enough time in continuing education to keep me updated in the industry. Beside that I invest a lot a time to keep myself healthy. I am passionate about sports as its a form of meditation which keeps you healthy as well as increase your concentration.
My family background
My family background is same as any middle class family in India in the 80's and 90's. Limited budget has always influenced any decision taken. Profilagacy was an unknown word and savings in any form was always a necessity. But one thing which stands out are the values imparted and the immense love with which I have grown up. This unknowingly imbeded a a very strict sense of responsibility and never allowed me forget about my roots.
Brief description about me
I am a consultant in IT advisory services for Banking and Financial Industry.I have almost 11 years of industry experience out of which last 4 years have been servicing for clients in the US. My graduation is in mechanical engineering from a reputed college in India and post graduation is in general management again from a top notch MBA school.
Although I enjoy my profession but I romanticize on utopian reforms and social change which will make India a better place to live in. I understand the basic nuances of nation building and have a vision of contributing to the society in my own limited way. I am neither an ardent follower of capitalism nor socialism but tend to have preference on a balanced middle path in between the two.
My strongest skill
I am an accomplished IT advisory consultant in Banking and Financial Services as an Business Architect and Strategy Consultant. My Business area of specialization includes:
● Payment Processes (US,India)
● Credit Card Issuer, Acquirer and Association Processes
● Retail and Online Banking (Pricing Engine etc.) ● Capital Market Processes (TOM, Trade Flows etc.)
● Banking Regulation Compliance (AML, KYC, Basel II etc.)
● Private Equity
I guess I am a bit detail oriented person and imperfection is like an constant irritation to me. I hate to take any non-ethical decisions and desire to be honest in all possible situations.
Couple of years from now
May be working in one of the top four consulting companies in the world or may be working to establish my starup initiative.
My role model
I have two role models who inspires me a lot . One is Gandhiji and other is Einstein. Both there philosophies and work is so perplexing that you can't stop admiring them. Gandhi is my inspirer in the social world and Einstein in the intellect domain.
My achievements
My achievements are pretty simple. I can give my parents a descent life in their senile age.
I have always been a person of material and not for gloss. So my achievements are measured not on how much I earn but on how much balancing act I can do between my family and work life.
Initiative to develop a country
The greatest contribution any professional can do is to create jobs by starting his own enterprise. India can only become developed if investments are routed to the present non-profitable sectors. This will develop the infrastucture for future market. Social enterpreneurship is the buzz word today which I guess is the foundation to become a developed country.
Being spent quite sometime in a developed country I guess I understand that 1 trillion dollar GDP is not the criteria of developed nation but food, shelter, education, road and electricity for all might be the criteria to be called a developed country. So professional investing to achieve this goal and to reduce the disparity between have's and have not's will steer Indian to be our desired state.

Important decision
I have always taken the decision to stick to basics in all aspect of life. Be it leading my life only with the things which are necessary or may be getting academic degree's not just for job but for the eductaion it will impart to me. I guess important decisions in my life was always taken to bring a balance between materialistic pleasures and emotional satisfactions.
