Family Background
I am basically from uttack Orissa and I come from a small business family.My father owns couple of publications, my mother is a home maker and my Sister is pursuing her MBBS final year.
Changes in the industry
Well Java as an Industry has evolved from just a Programming language to an essential software environment. Now as we can see almost all the cell phones we use are by default Java enabled which was not the case when I joined the Industry. Mobile apps have been the taste of the day.
Areas for the Future
I would see all the specialization related to Enterprise applications which also include Messaging and mobile services will surely matter most in the future. Specially certain frameworks like Spring & Hibernate have been doing well and will certainly have a larger impact going forward.
Work Life Balance
I mostly try to indulge in some recreational activities like sports,movies,etc which kind of refreshes me and gives me potential for another hectic day.
Plans for the Future
i would see myself as a Solution Designer or a Technical Lead in couple of years from now.

The challenges in Java technology are the same as its advantage and that is its rapid evolution.

One of the most important career decision was to choose the path of the Solution Designing when there was an option of managerial/lead path.

I am Project Consultant and my job is basically discussing various changes with the customer and providing the best available solution, I am also responsible for creation and implementation of best practices of development.
Comparison With Other Language
Well there is no other language which is as Versatile,Portable,Secured and best for implementation as Java.
Scope Of Java
Java seems to be ruling the future if it continues to evolve as it is doing today.
Current Role
I am responsible of requirements gathering,designing and delivery of a solution. I am also responsible of implementation of various process,best practices, new framework and technical upgrade of the code.
Degrees That Matter
Yes. SCJP & SCWCD are really helpful at a developer level and to grow one should surely proceed by getting SCJA.
